Realmadrid Foundation Football Academy opens in Dubai

The event was held under the patronage of Real Madrid Foundation represented by Adolfo Sánchez Muñoz, Technical Director of Football and Training and Nicola Giampiero, Trainer of the Trainers - Football.

The opening ceremony was attended by the academy participants and their parents who shared the joy of holding a sports platform for sharing experience and knowledge. The event commenced with a demonstration of the various exercises that would be held on the field as part of the regular training. During the show, gifted children from the Realmadrid Foundation Football Academy and their coach demonstrated specialist training which focused on technical, social, educative and moral aspects as well as on field tactical practices.

In his commentary, Waleid Gamal Eldien, Deputy CEO, Baniyas Investment and Development Company said, "After the success of the Real Madrid Foundation Football Academy in Abu Dhabi and in response to strong demand, we decided to launch operations for the Academy in Dubai today. With the aim of promoting sports values and as an educational instrument in youth development, this new Academy will cater to the needs of the younger generation between the ages of 4 and 17, preparing them towards sporting excellence."

Making sure that the coaches for Realmadrid Foundation Football Academy are well trained and accredited, the Realmadrid Foundation has held a 3 day coaches training program in the UAE on the 27th of September to cover all the technical, tactical and behavioral values of the Foundation.
Adolfo Sánchez Muñoz, Technical Director of Football and Training at Realmadrid Foundation reiterated the foundation's primary purposes to promote the intrinsic values of sport as an educational tool in the comprehensive development of those who practice it. He said, "Real Madrid Foundation is delighted to work on promoting sports values as an educational instrument in the youth's development in the UAE. The coaches' training sessions that are currently underway are part of our endeavors to hold the supervisory, coordination, and evaluation mechanisms which ensure perfect functioning of Realmadrid Foundation Football Academy."

Realmadrid Foundation Academy in the UAE second season sessions will be held 3 times a week. These sessions started first in Abu Dhabi at Brighton College on the 22nd of September then in Dubai, at the Dubai Municipality Club Field on the 30th of September 2012.

Participants registering for 12 weeks in the program will be granted the chance to win complimentary trips to Madrid, Spain, to join the Real Madrid upcoming 3rd Team Camp. The raffle draw will be held towards the end of the current 2012/2013 season to choose 3 winners from the Academy in Abu Dhabi and another 3 winners from the Academy in Dubai.

Baniyas Investment and Development launched the Realmadrid Foundation Academy in the UAE last year with its first premises in the capital Abu Dhabi. The academy was launched during the official visit of Florentino Perez, President of Real Madrid F.C. and Realmadrid Foundation to the UAE.
