Atlantis, The Palm celebrates UAE national day

Atlantis, The Palm celebrates all things UAE with numerous activities at the iconic resort in honour of the 41st National Day. GCC and UAE residents can now book their stay at Atlantis and get 10%* off all room types between December 2012 and March 2013 with, unlimited complimentary access to Aquaventure, the region's largest waterpark and The Lost Chambers with 65,000 marine animals.

Guests availing of the resident's rate also receive preferential rates to swim with the dolphins at Dolphin Bay and one complimentary afternoon session per child at Atlantis Kids Club or Club Rush.

In The Ambassador Lagoon, guests and visitors to Atlantis will see the UAE flag flying underwater and the iconic building is dressed up with UAE flags around the newly planted Union Tree, in the spirit of unionism and love for the country. At night, Atlantis lights up in the colours of the UAE flag and inside the resort, green, white and red roses are abundant throughout.

For everyone who would like to try traditional Arabic dishes, Kaleidoscope is offering a National Day lunch on Sunday, 2 December, where guests can celebrate the birthday of the Nation with family and friends between 1.30pm and 5pm for AED 170 food only, children under 3 years eat for free, 4-11 years pay 50%. Kaleidoscope offers a wide range of International tastes including Arabic, Indian, Asian, Italian and Mediterranean delicacies.

On Friday, 30 November, Atlantis kicked off the holiday weekend with a UAE themed Family Fun Day in The Lost Chambers and welcomed visitors with traditional oud and rosewater before enjoying a range of UAE-themed family friendly activities for all ages including the opportunity to try local UAE cuisine, a colouring competition, participating in creating an UAE themed mural, henna painting, face-painting and educational talks on UAE marine species. The highlight of the day was UAE free-diving Champion Ahmed Khoori performing a thrilling free-dive in The Ambassador Lagoon to help raise awareness of ocean conservation.
