Britain's Prince Charles tours Rubicon Group Holding's headquarters in Jordan

As part of his recent visit to the Hashemite Kingdom to strengthen Jordanian-British relations, His Royal Highness Prince Charles toured on Monday, 12th March 2013, the Amman-based headquarters of Rubicon Group Holding (RGH), the award-winning Jordanian digital content production company.

The Prince of Wales was greeted upon his arrival by RGH Founder and CEO Randa Ayoubi, who accompanied HRH on a tour of the Company's various departments.

HRH was shown a demo of RHG's proprietary Virtual Vocational Training (VVT) Solutions and tried it first-hand.

VVT Solutions create immersive and interactive simulated environments where trainees can experience accelerated learning, allowing corporations to reduce the high costs associated with conventional training methods.

At the 3D department, HRH was briefed on the production work currently underway for the first 3D feature film for the popular British children's animated series, Postman Pat, which RGH's Themed Entertainment division is currently producing in collaboration with US-based Hollywood studio, DreamWorks Classics.

HRH reviewed different sections of the movie's production process, and watched a portion of the final movie trailer. Afterwards, Prince Charles was presented with a sculpted model of himself standing next to the movie's main character, created by RGH. Concluding the visit, HRH joined the Company's employees for a group photo.

"We are deeply honored by His Royal Highness's visit; not only was it a very gratifying gesture of acknowledgement for our work, but it also confirmed that we are on the right path," said Ayoubi.

"Since establishing RGH in 1994, we have been diligently working to create a hub in Jordan that would be able to penetrate the world of Digital Media, and today I am very proud to say that we are definitely on our way to achieving just that," Ayoubi added.

Rapidly emerging as a preferred partner for UK and US production houses, RGH has signed a number of strategic agreements with British and global leaders in the media and communication industries, such as Turner Broadcasting System (Cartoon Network), Classic Media (now known as DreamWorks Classics), Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc., CBS Consumer Products, and a unit of CBS Corporation, among others.

In addition to Postman Pat: The Movie, RGH is developing an animated CG 3D Stereoscopic feature film called The life and Adventures of Santa Clause, based on a novel by L. Frank Baum, the famed author of The Wizard of Oz. RGH is also leading the design and development of what will soon be one of the most celebrated tourist destinations in the region, the Red Sea Astrarium.

Overlooking the Gulf of Aqaba, the Red Sea Astrarium is a $1.5bn, 184 acre project that will include a Paramount-produced Star Trek-themed attraction, as well as a series of other attractions that will feature Jordan's Nabataea, Babylonian, British and Roman influences. It will also feature luxury hotels, lush botanical gardens, and an impressive collection of entertainment, dining and retail offerings

RGH is a diversified entertainment company devoted to the creation of incomparable entertainment experiences and interactive educational content across all media channels. RGH has a team of 400 employees in four locations: Amman (Jordan), Los Angeles (United States), Manila (Philippines) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates). Together, RGH's world class team collaborates to provide a unique perspective to the realization of compelling digital content and immersive entertainment.

Combining award-winning, creative and cutting-edge technology, RGH enjoys a reputation for innovation in four distinct business segments: Education, Productions, Themed Entertainment and Games. Its products and services are critically acclaimed by the industries' top experts, earning RGH numerous industry awards including four Kidscreen Awards in 2011 for Best Animated Series, Best Directing, Best Music and Best Preschool Programme for the Pink Panther and Pals series, co-produced with MGM. RGH Games' production received the World Summit Award for mobile application and the Best App Ever Awards 2011. Its Trashers iOS App also won the 148Apps Best Kids Game 2011 award. In addition, RGH won the prestigious CINE Golden Eagle Award.
