PALME Middle East lighting solutions conference confirmed

PALME's fourth Middle East Lighting Solutions Conference 2012 has been timed to coincide with the opening day of this year's three-day PALME Middle East expo (May 1-3). Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the full-day event opens at 11am with an address by George Katodrytis, RIBA, Associate Professor of Architecture, College of Architecture, Art and Design, American University of Sharjah.
After lunch there will be a major project study of Capital Gate Abu Dhabi (the interior design and façade) with David McNeil, Associate, dpa lighting consultants.
The mid-afternoon sessions will ask Is the Middle East Still Building Big and Beautiful? with Ziad Fattouh, Managing Director, Delta Lighting Solutions.
This session will cover case studies of Middle East Lighting projects such as Zaytunay Bay, Ritz Carlton and The Pearl. This will be followed by The Lighthouse: Full-time Residence with Minimal Environmental Impact, with Robert Reid, Assistant Professor, College of Architecture, Art and Design, American University of Sharjah.
The final 50-minute Workshop will be dedicated to: Lighting Solutions: Small Scale Lighting Design (Residential and Retail) and features Pallavi Dean, Interior Designer, Pallavi Dean & Visiting Assistant Professor, American University of Sharjah & Colin Beaton, Managing Director, Limelight Creative Services.
The conference enables visitors to join an exclusive team of lighting industry leaders allowing them to network with architects, lighting design experts, lighting solution providers and key industry figures.
