  • PRESS RELEASE

The World Diabetes Day that was sponsored by Kuwait Finance House (KFH) and organized by Dasman Diabetes Institution was attended by over 1000 people from various ages, and included health, educational, and entertainment activities.

The participants attended an awareness program about diabetes and means to prevent it. They were also granted the opportunity to undergo free medical tests, in addition to awareness and proper nutrition lectures.

This is part of KFH's efforts in the field of social responsibility. KFH has supported diabetes prevention for the past four years, where it organized last week an event that included KFH employees, who were keen to ensure their state of optimum health. In addition, Baitok Tower was illuminated in blue on the world diabetes day for diabetes patients to show its support to them.

It is worth noting that KFH had organized and supported other events related to diabetes prevention, such as walking, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, signing the first international agreement between a bank and the IDF that includes over 200 diabetes societies and associations in over 160 countries. The IDF was established in 1950, and KFH was the only bank that attended the latest international diabetes forum that was held in Dubai. The event was attended by over 15,000 people from all over the world.

Furthermore, KFH sent several diabetes specialists to international centers, such as Harvard University, in order to be aware of the latest developments in this field of medicine.
