Property developer bagged the best development award for 'Oceanscape', best architecture award for 'Ocean Heights' and the best website award for the company's website.

"Since I started my contract catering business in Abu Dhabi 24 years ago, my dream was to build a leading regional business conglomerate. From a young company in the UAE capital, DAMAC Holding has grown into a major regional player in a wide variety of businesses with 6000 employees in 18 countries. We launched DAMAC Properties 10 years ago, and today, the property company has grown tremendously to become the Middle East's most prominent private sector developer. Today, the recognition that we received at the Arabian Property Awards 2006 confirms our leadership position in the regional property marketplace," commented Hussain Sajwani, Chairman, DAMAC Group.

Oceanscape will be located at the renowned Al Reem Island. The project provides the ultimate in luxury lifestyle and its sea facing location and ultra modern design will make it the most sought after address in Abu Dhabi. The development is an iconic mixed-use undertaking, including 184 one, two, and three bedroom apartments with state-of-the-art luxury finishing and 8 townhouses. Oceanscape won this award based on its location, appearance and finish, safety and innovation and the marketing campaigns that were undertaken to launch the project.

"We are delighted to have also won the awards for best architecture - Ocean Heights 2 and for the best website," said Peter Riddoch, CEO, DAMAC Properties.

'Ocean Heights', is a 90 storey spectacle located at Dubai Marina with over 440 stylishly designed rooms, suites, apartments and penthouses, all with stunning uninterrupted views of the Marina and the Palm. The facilities at the property include - smart home technology, temperature controlled pool, cycling and jogging tracks, well equipped gymnasium and 65 Yachts exclusively for the residents.

"Having a good website is just as important as having the right staff and skills in place to do the job. The website is very often how potential clients gain their first impressions of the firm and this can be critical in terms of whether they use the firm or go elsewhere. A good website works on many levels but primarily as an ambassador for the business," added Riddoch.

In 2005, the luxury lifestyle provider was honored with three prestigious Bentley International Awards in the categories of - Best UAE Development for Marina Terrace, Best Architecture for Ocean Heights-1 and Best Developer website at a ceremony in London.

DAMAC Properties was launched 10 years ago. In line with the government's introduction of freehold ownership, DAMAC was the first to introduce iconic properties on all the freehold master planned development launched by the Dubai and Abu Dhabi governments. Throughout the spectrum of 52 buildings launched to date, DAMAC Properties provides a luxury lifestyle that is second to none. The total value of DAMAC Properties' projects is over US$4 Billion.
