British ship docks in Dubai

The British cruise liner, MV Spirit of Adventure docked at the Dubai Cruise Terminal on Wednesday (October 25) with 218 passengers and 210 crew members on board marking the beginning of a busy winter cruise season in the emirate.

This was the maiden port of call for the ship at the Dubai Cruise Terminal. Most of the passengers were British along with two Americans.

On arrival, the passengers were treated to a traditional Arabic welcome ceremony with school children offering flowers. UAE nationals dressed in their traditional clothes offered a taste of the typical Arabian hospitality.
Guests were offered Gahwah (Arabic coffee) while the Aiyala band performed. There was also a traditional heritage and handicraft display while the Dubai Police band performed.
'MV Spirit of Adventure' arrived from Muscat remained docked in Dubai for two days. Around 192 passengers disembarked in Dubai in a passenger exchange programme that took place on Wednesday (October 25) before the vessel's onward journey to Bahrain.

The Kanoo Shipping Agency Dubai was the agent for the cruise liner and SNTTA Emir Tours & Travco organized the sight-seeing tours for the visitors.

More than 20 ships are expected to call at the Dubai Cruise Terminal during the ongoing winter season.
