- United Arab Emirates: Monday, October 30 - 2006 at 13:20
- PRESS RELEASE
The College initiated a partnership with Organic Foods & Café where healthy organic snacks are to be sold on campus at a discounted price beginning November 1st.
Zak McLaren, Diploma Department Chair, believes the initiative with the Organic Foods and Café is an important one since it brings in healthy snack options for students. "Often busy, learners will reach for the poor health choices in food, what we would like to do with Al Waha and Organic Foods and Café, is to help start students down the path of healthy eating by promoting the benefits of organic snacks and showing the health benefits of organic food," he noted.
The Student Services Department is looking to expand partnership with the Organic foods & Café where students will get the opportunity to learn about healthy living through a variety of presentations and activities. DWC pays special attention to promoting healthy eating and lifestyle among students. It provides students with healthy meal options at the cafeteria and a new state-of-the-art gymnasium where students, faculty, and staff get to enjoy a large variety of sports.
