Ziad bin Karim Al Haremi Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air

In line with the company's ambitious plans to develop the Omani cadre giving them the chance to occupy the highest positions, Oman Air's Board of Director in its meeting held on 29th October 2006, has confirmed Mr. Ziad bin Karim Al Haremi as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 November 2006.
The appointment of Mr. Ziad in this senior executive position was due to his qualifications, long experience in different spheres of aviation industry. He obtained his University degree in Aviation Technology from Embry Riddle University in the USA in 1984. He also has a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance and Private Pilot License. He attended several training courses, lecturers and workshops covering various aspects of the aviation industry specially the ones pertaining to the commercial field. This made him fully aware with all updates and developments in the aviation field.
His qualifications and experience have entailed to occupy senior managerial posts either during his tenure of service with Gulf Air or in Oman Air since joining in 2001.
In Oman Air, Mr. Ziad was involved in the implementation of many strategies and plans aiming upgrading the company's activities and flying the Omani Khanjar to many international destinations. He occupied several positions in Oman air since joining as Senior Manager Sales, Divisional Manger Commercial and positively participated in preparing many strategies and work plans lead to the increase of ticket sales as well as the number of passengers. This has result in better performance and superior achievements.
Due to his qualifications, experience and active participation in several training courses, lecturers and workshops covering various aspects of the aviation industry worldwide, he has been granted membership of a number of local and regional institutions namely, Chairman of Yield Improvement Committee - Oman, Chairman of Board of Airline Representatives - Oman, Member of Seeb International Airport Facilitation Improvement Committee, Member of the Indian - Omani committee at the Oman Chamber of Commerce. Member of the Executive committee of the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO), Vice Chairman, Kuwait BSP Steering Panel. Member of Kuwait Agents Investigation Panel (AIP).
