The system has been primarily implemented to assist OnLine Distribution in managing their business partners, popularly known as channel partners, over the web. CrossRoads is also being used for managing OnLine's ebusiness and for knowledge management.
"Our objective at OnLine is to help our customers save time and increase productivity and we have identified 'right information' to be the key to success. This aspect has been enabled by CrossRoads. The ERM system is actually an extension of our efforts to provide valuable services to our customers" said Mr. Ganesan , Marketing Manager at OnLine Distribution.
Speaking on the functional attractiveness of CrossRoads, he added that "Our customers, the channel partners, can place orders online to reserve available stock. They are able to check product availability and track their order status 24x7. The system is transparent as well as informative.
So our customers are always aware of the stock situation. They are able to give selective access for the right information to the various users in their organization. Soon, various additional features are also to be added as promotions and service updates also intend to come online. We also plan to add sales roll automation to Crossroads' repertoire of value-added services."
On the logistics and inventory front, OnLine has already employed ICICI- Infotech's "Orion", which has performed flawlessly in the three years of its operation. Orion's performance at OnLine has to-date been matched by its ERM counterpart, CrossRoads, which has been offering value-added services to not only OnLine's channel partners, but also to its vendors and employees as well, by offering effective vendor relationship management and extended enterprise planning.
