Dubai Education Council steps in to manage the Zone

Dubai Education Council (DEC) takes first steps towards revamping Dubai Education Zone's (DEZ) administrative structure, keeping in line with vision for better education.
In his speech, HE Ahmad Bin Bayat, Chairman of DEC, stressed the importance of developing the educational standards, "I am glad to welcome the DEZ team in this first meeting after transferring the management of the Dubai Education Zone to Dubai Education Council. We will work together to uphold the high standards of education and cater for further development and progress in this significant field. With this in view, DEC will work towards developing and implementing new strategies and initiatives to accommodate the fast pace of development and growth in the UAE."
He added, "By working together on evaluating the whole administrative structure, we will achieve the progress that we all are aiming at. The Council will work alongside the Ministry to develop the educational outcomes in accordance with the growing demands of our local job market by regulating and implementing long term strategies designed to achieve these goals."
Stressing on increased participation, HE Bin Bayat said, "The DEC's vision lies in facilitating DEZ's role in offering further support to increase the efficiency of students, teachers, parents and administrators. The council will adopt methodology that secures the effective participation of the educational leadership and provides high levels of transparency for the employees in the educational sector."
"Education in the UAE has developed significantly throughout the past few decades and we are very proud with our achievements. However, we have learnt from our leadership that we need to broaden our ambitions and push our efforts to the farthest limits. This will entail the DEZ team to start working immediately to obtain all the necessary skill including administrative, computer and English language skills," he concluded.
Later, Fatma Al Marri, DEC member and DEC consultant for the transit stage, briefed the attendees on the upcoming plans that focused on developing the administrative structure of DEZ. Part of plans included meeting all departments and understanding their duties and goals and using the findings to establish a new administrative strategy that carries out the DEC vision for better education.
"We will work closely with DEZ to achieve the structural and administrative reforms that serve the Council's vision towards better education in Dubai. At this stage, we will focus on administrative changes that ensure interactivity between the key elements i.e. students, teachers, parents and administrators." Al Murri said.
"We will soon outline the nature of the radical changes that will apply to the whole educational process and be in line with the general long-term objectives of the ministry," she concluded.

Khalifa Bin Fares, Head of DEZ, Abdlaziz Ali Souliman, Head of Finance, Moza Gareeb Khalfan, Head of Legal Affaires, Abdullah Al Jenahi, Head of administrative Affairs, Hameed Al Swaidi, Head of Spcial needs, Yousef Alawadi, Head of HR, Khawla Hareb Alrumathi, Educational Department, Mariam Jouma Moubark, Head of activities, Ibrahim Ahmad Alhashemi, Head of Private Institutes and Technical Education, Abedlrahman Yousef, Head of Schools and Institutes licenses, Hussain Obied Alluz, Head of Public Relation and Educational Media, Laila Mortda, Head of private Arabic and foreign schools.
