DCCI launches Retail Sector TVC

Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) recently launched an advertising campaign in order to promote Dubai city and highlight its development and prosperity in the retail sector.
This promotional campaign comes as part of the DCCI's strategy to support the retail sector, which constitutes over 50% of the economic sector and is considered the foundation of the Dubai trade market.
On this occasion, his Excellency Mr. Obayd Hameed Al Tayer, Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry said, "Latest economic studies show that the number of consumers in Dubai, especially the tourist population is expected to reach 7.6 billion US dollars in 2009, which is expected to be the highest consumption rate in GCC countries, mainly are to the increasing number of tourists."
He added, "This promotional campaign is one of DCCI's latest initiatives launched in order to depict the retail sector in Dubai as one that guarantees an exciting and fulfilling shopping experience, with over 50 shopping malls and centers in Dubai that host hundreds of retail shopping outlets catering to shoppers from all over the world."
Al Tayer assured that the Dubai Government is also making all efforts to support and provide various facilities that can help improve the retail business sector for businessmen and shoppers. An extension of this effort is also reflected through the Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Summer Surprises, which are some of the most important promotional campaigns handled by the Dubai government.
He also said, "DCCI has invested over AED 100 million in the past 8 year towards diversified initiatives promoting Dubai's retail sector and opening up new business opportunities, which will further have positive effects on the national economy. Another international initiative is the 'Dubai-Expect it all' campaign as well as 'Dubai City that Cares' ongoing campaign."
The new Retail Sector TVC was premiered at a gala event at the Palm Garden, Hayat Park Hotel, which was attended by Board Members of DCCI as well as Presidents and Representatives from shopping malls and business groups.
Al Tayer explained that, "this promotional campaign is the first of a series of upcoming promotional campaigns, which constitute a part of DCCI's strategy to support the business sector in Dubai. These campaigns will continue to highlight the retail sector in Dubai on an international platform, further strengthening the economy and re-instating Dubai as the retail hub of the region that promises consumers an unforgettable shopping experience."
