  • PRESS RELEASE

The number of completed transactions with the Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department's (DNRD) branch at Jebel Ali have gone up to 5,000 per year, with the expectation that the number will rise dramatically in the years ahead.

Jamal Abdullah Lootah, Director of Human Resources & General Administrative Affairs (Shared Services), Dubai World, has confirmed that the application of E-Form in transactions with the DNRD at Jebel Ali has proved to be highly efficient in helping obtain visit and employment visas.

During a ceremony, held recently to honor the staff of the DNRD Jebel Ali Branch, Lootah said that the continuous cooperation and coordination among all government and semi-government departments helps achieve integration, and greatly contributes to the creation of a solid mechanism based on the use of modern information technologies. "This acts as a catalyst in attracting foreign investment by reflecting positively on the investment market. Additionally, it provides a great boost to the local business sector through the swiftness of response to the needs of customers," Lootah said.

Lootah observed that the completion of daily transactions through the E-Forms has reduced to a minimum the required processing time despite the ever-increasing workload during the past years due to the huge expansion of all business units of Dubai World, let alone the newly established companies and establishments. The expansion operations require recruitment of more foreign expert staff while mainly relying on the UAE employees who continue to prove their worth in all business fields.

On his part, Jumaa Mubarak Khamis, Head of Jabel Ali Passport Section, reassured all present at the honoring ceremony that the DNRD will not spare any effort in availing all facilities that help the growth of the UAE economy through the continuous development of our services and the adoption of modern technologies and systems.
He added that his department's ongoing cooperation and coordination with the Human Resources Administration - Dubai World has ultimately led to adopting the best processes and quality international standards. We are proud of such common achievements which avail the basic requirements for the growth of the economic sector in the Emirate of Dubai.

At the end of the ceremony, Lootah distributed certificates recognizing the meritorious services of the DNRD staff posted at the Jebel Ali branch.
