Alwaleed eyes major Chinese stake

Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal plans to buy a stake in state-run China Communications Construction Group, the country's leading port builder which is floating shares worth between $2bn and $3bn, Reuters reported. The company plans to list in both Hong Kong and Shanghai. Chinese billionaire Li Ka-shing is also being mooted as a potential strategic investor.
