DM trains freshers on organizational loyalty

The course is being conducted as part of the ongoing internal training programme of the civic body for the year 2006.

Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zarouni, Acting Head of Human Resources Development Section in the Personnel Department said the course is being attended by a group of fresh graduates from different departments of the municipality.

He said the seminar is aimed at ensuring compliance of the work ethics and professional traditions that will help the freshers accomplish high performance in their duties at the Municipality.

Al Zarouni said a second training course of the week called, "Who are we?" would also be organized for fresh graduates during Tuesday and Wednesday.

He said the course is aimed at teaching the new employees their duties and the services provided to the internal as well as external customers. It is also intended to enhance their interaction with senior employees and acquaint them with the vision, mission and values of the Municipality.

Al Zarouni said the Municipality will be organizing First-aid training for its lifeguards working on the beaches from Monday to Tuesday.

He said the course will provide DM lifeguards with First Aid skills, basic First Aid knowledge to be applied in different situations and conditions in order to enable them to respond to emergency calls and situations on site.

Al Zarouni said the fourth training course of the week, "Preparation of plans for preserving and destroying documents," will be held during Tuesday and Wednesday.

He said the course is conducted for a group of administrative support officials and secretaries in the civic body.

The participants will be given training on various scientific methods applied in preserving and destroying documents. It will teach them the basic criteria and the methods for deciding the life of documents.

It will also brief them on the importance of preserving documents in an establishment, the correct scientific basics of weeding, preserving and destroying documents as a tool for organizing the valuables and documents.
