This giveaway was in addition to the mall's customary extravagant discounts, with 30-70 per cent sales on over 100 leading brands, including the region's only Saks Fifth Avenue store, as well as BCBG, Burberry, Escada, Kenneth Cole, Moschino, and others. A full calendar of events comprising of over 200 exciting activites, a comprehensive tourism reward programme and other initiatives ensured the mall achieved record traffic and sales figures.
'At BurJuman we are driven by the desire to provide a total shopping experience, not just a collection of retail outlets. Our clients' tastes are refined and exacting, and we stretched to find the best possible way to meet their expectations with the 2005 DSS campaign,' said Sabina Khandwani, Head of Marketing and PR for BurJuman.
'Being awarded our seventh accolade at the Maxi's is certainly flattering, but in no way will it cause us to rest on our laurels. We will continue to do our best to innovate and create a brand that encapsulates what it means to shop here - community involvement, cultural events, art, theatre, workshops, great restaurants, and of course the biggest selection of designer brands under one roof in the Middle East,'
Khandwani concluded.
In previous years, the mall has earned Maxi kudos for its community programme - Safe and Sound, various DSF sales promotions and its launch campaign for the BurJuman Extension.
