According to Mahmood Al Bastaki, Chief Information Officer, Dubai World Corporate Services, GITEX 2006, is the perfect platform through which public awareness about the group's re-branding can be enhanced, while providing value-added exposure to the services of the Group's individual business units.

"Our participation at GITEX is driven by the vision set forth by our Chairman, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, and his strong desire to showcase the portfolios present within Dubai World, such as property development, real estate, investment, e-commerce and ports free zone operations. A manifestation of this vision has been the decision to engage our business units at this prestigious exhibition in a major manner," said Mr Al Bastaki.

On display at the Dubai World stall at GITEX will be Tejari, Dubai Trade (comprising Jafza, DP World, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre and Dubai Customs), Nakheel, Istithmar, information technology center (technology arm of the group) and Limitless.

Dubai World manages and supervises the portfolios of these branded businesses.
Elaborating on their participation at GITEX, Mr Al Bastaki said, "Since this is the first time that these companies are being introduced as part of Dubai World, our main focus will be on increasing public awareness about the Group and assuring customer satisfaction by enhancing the quality of services."
