Hotel rooms to double by 2016

Dubai will have 86,600 hotel rooms by 2016, more than double the 41,500 expected at the end of 2006, a government official told Gulf News. The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing is pushing Dubai's tourism credentials and looking to increase investments in the sector through its participation at the World Travel Market, currently running in London.
