Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vishesh L. Bhatia, Chief Operating Officer, Jumbo Electronics Co. Ltd. (LLC) said, 'Jumbo's association with Sony, which dates back to 1974 has yielded many firsts for this region. And, this new addition to the Sony Hi-Fi range is another step towards consolidating our hold on the audio market in the UAE. As for the consumer, loads of MP3 music - downloaded from the Internet and burnt on to a CD - can now be played back on these Sony products for non stop enjoyment.'
This new range, which includes five excellent Mini Hi-Fi models and three LBT series models, features MP3 playback. The top end of the Mini range now includes an independent Sub Woofer, which coupled with four speakers belt out an amazing 7000 watts PMPO of sheer listening pleasure.
Added Mr. Probir Mukherjee, AVP (Sony Division), Jumbo Electronics, 'We have plans to aggressively market these new music systems. Plans include a media campaign supported by below the line activities and trade promotions. All these efforts are directed towards increasing Sony's share in this segment and achieve the kind of dominance it enjoys in the visual segment. This financial year, we have already seen a 44% increase in the sale of Sony Hi-Fi products in the UAE market. Almost all price and feature segments have been addressed this year and the introduction of MP3 playback will help Sony to dominate the category and Jumbo electronics to further consolidate its leadership position. .'
The entire Hi-Fi range is available in Jumbo showrooms and also at leading Electronics dealers across U.A.E.
