The company's focus this year is on RFID and mobile applications, and Online's vendor partner, Symbol Technologies, is organising live demonstrations of retail, healthcare, and hospitality and logistics management solutions on the stand. Wireless bridging products from Proxim and RFID and advanced barcode and card printing solutions from Zebra Technologies will also be on display.
Advanced infrastructure solutions including Corning cabling products and Chatsworth's intelligent cable management solutions will also be featured on the Online stand. Open architecture frames for data centres and high volume cabling will be presented by Chatsworth while Corning will exhibit its range of pre-terminated and advanced fibre solutions for data centre and high bandwidth applications. Avocent will focus on remote management of servers and serial devices.
Gigabit Ethernet will continue to drive growth in the LAN switch market in the coming quarters, as enterprises increasingly use Gigabit Ethernet Lan switches for desktop connectivity and to interconnect servers in datacenters. To drive gigabit adoption in the region, Online Distribution has teamed up with its partner, 3Com Middle East, to feature gigabit, IP telephony, wireless and unified switching products portfolio. 3Com will also run short presentations targeting resellers and end users on the Online stand.

Networking technology is crucial asset to the expanding Middle East business sector, and to provide secure networks, Online and its major vendor partner Trend Micro will demonstrate a wide range of security solutions including anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-spyware offerings at Gitex this year. The two companies aim to educate their partners about Trend Micro's channel programmes and partners can visit the stand for more information.
