EFG-Hermes to provide DIFX investment opportunities to retail investors in the UAE

Leading regional investment bank, EFG-Hermes, has become the first UAE broker and DIFX Member to be granted permission to give its retail investors access to the Dubai International Financial Exchange (DIFX).

Seif Fikry, head of EFG-Hermes Brokerage (UAE) explains:

"As a UAE broker, we are regulated by the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority (ESCA). We are able to trade DIFX securities for retail investors through another subsidiary of the EFG-Hermes group, which is a DIFX Member. We are pleased to be in a position to offer participation in this exciting exchange to a broader base of investors".


Fikry continues, "Retail will be a major factor in the development of the DIFX as strong local brands come to market. We are excited to be a part of DIFX's drive to reach its goals."
