Through sponsoring this year's conference they aim to support and make this international energy event one of the most successful ever held. More than 1000 companies specializing in oil and gas, representing over 50 countries participated in this year's event.
At the launch's banquet event sponsored by Dana Gas, on the occasion of ADEPIC activities, Mr. Mohammed Makkawi, General Manager of United Gas Transmissions Company Ltd (UGTC) a subsidiary of Dana Gas, spoke about the trends and patterns affecting the gas industry in the Middle East, and the role of the indigenous private sector, with high demand of natural gas in the region. He said: 'Our objective is to play a major role in the rapidly-growing natural gas business throughout the Gulf and the wider Middle East by developing and investing in all aspects of the Region's gas industry'.
Notably, Dana Gas is the first private sector regional company operating in natural gas in the Gulf. They hold assets and contractual entitlements to the largest private sector integrated natural gas supply chain in the region, with plans to expand its business by pursuing natural gas opportunities throughout the GCC and the wider MENA region.
A number of prestigious international personalities (particularly from the GCC and the Arab world) from the oil and gas sector, as well as ministers from the field of commerce and industry, and media representatives, were present at the event. By supporting and participating in these types of local, regional and international events, Dana Gas are looking to position themselves as the regional leader in the field of energy.

Dana Gas, the first regional private sector natural gas resource enterprise established in the Gulf, sponsored and participated in this year's Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2006), which is held between, 5-8th November at the Abu Dhabi international exhibition center.
