Al Foah is a general holding company that was formed based on the decision of the executive council of Abu Dhabi in May 2005 to promote and conserve date palms in the UAE.
The equipment purchased from FAMCO will enable Al Foah to handle approximately 80-million kilos of dates during the months of summer. All equipment will be maintained by FAMCO.
According to Ayman Ahmed, the acting Divisional Manager for the Storage and Handling Solutions division of FAMCO, "This contract is the result of a coordinated effort between different parts of our organization that aim to find the right solutions for our customers."
"The fact that Al Foah decided to invest in Linde Material Handling Equipment from us recognizes the significant value of our products and services," he said.
This new addition further strengthens the growing list of clients for FAMCO. FAMCO has also signed deals with Aramex, DNATA, Thompson Mercantile in JAFZA and DU for its Linde material handling equipment, to mention a few.
"With the addition of these Linde Material Handling machines, we believe that we will be able to achieve our objective far more effectively," concluded Dr. Karim Siad, Al Foah.
