The deal increases Royal Jet's luxury flight service capability, and will provide clients with a broader range of flight options.
"The recent addition of the aircraft management division is an important aspect of our business expansion plan. The entire process from purchasing the most suitable aircraft to complete aircraft management solutions, such as administrative procedures and direct costs, can be performed by Royal Jet for the client. The service can be completely personalised to suit whatever requirements the client might have,"
explained His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Chairman, Royal Jet.
This division operates on a mutually beneficial system, as we can cut down cost for the owner by using Royal Jet resources for flight planning, crew, and maintenance as well as utilising our special agreements and rates for ground handling, fuelling, catering and any other services required for the managed aircraft.
"In addition, the owner will enjoy an add-on-benefit of eligibility to utilize any of Royal Jet aircraft in case his aircraft is unavailable or in maintenance. Another option the client can opt for through Royal Jet aircraft management program is to allow us to charter his aircraft as part of our fleet whenever it is not in use, which would then generate some income and recoup part of the management costs."
The RJ85 is a premiere short haul jet and provides a highly competitive option that will appeal to the middle-range segment. Royal Jet's aircraft management division is a strategic move in their business plan that will solidify Royal Jet' position as a leader in the private aviation sector in the region.
The RJ85 can carry 42 passengers in a one-class cabin configuration that is three times the size of current business jet.
"The RJ85 is an excellent option for short haul flights as it has a range of 1,700 Nautical Miles. The large passenger capacity is an ideal option for tour operators and travel agents that need to buy blocks of seats for group and corporate travellers such as during Haj & Omra seasons," said Ammar Balkar, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Royal Jet.
Commercial air carriers can contract the aircraft from Royal Jet to service passenger excess on particularly high-yield seasonal routes or if a corporate shuttle service needs to be added. Similarly, groups looking into travelling to specific destinations for any reason, such as special interest travel, can charter this new aircraft. In addition, with its landing and take-off capabilities, the RJ85 is popular and widely utilised for hunting trips.
"Due to the low environmental impact the aircraft is capable of landing in sensitive city centre airports and can even access remote, poorly equipped airfields with short strips or unpaved runways. These options allow us to offer a wider range of destinations to our clients, and improve our service both inbound and outbound to the UAE" Explained Balkar.
Royal Jet's existing fleet boasts an Avro RJ85, a Medevac Learjet (LR-55), two Gulfstream (G300), four Boeing Business Jets (BBJ1), the world's largest charter fleet of this long-range aircraft, and the Augusta Bell (AB139) VIP Helicopter.
"The capacity and efficiency of the new RJ85 aircraft enable us to increase our services in terms of affordability, and increases the number of clients that we can service. The aircraft management division provides a service to aircraft owners that will ensure complete management for their aircraft, whilst being financially beneficial," added Balkar.
