UNICEF is one of the most respected global organizations for relief work in distressed areas across the world. The donation was raised by CA employees in the Arab Countries and through the CA Together Matching Gifts Program, a worldwide CA Gifts Program that help employees increase the impact of their charitable donation through a similar matching donation by CA.

Anne Marie Agnelli, Worldwide Vice President, Community & Public Affairs, said:

"The goal of CA Together is to identify nonprofit organizations that do extraordinary work in our key focus areas, education and technology. We support these organizations as they respond to communities in need. UNICEF does extraordinary work to help people in need around the world. We are always proud to support UNICEF's efforts to ease human suffering in times of crisis."

Supporting CA's role in the relief activity, Mr. Roberto Laurenti, UNICEF Representative in Lebanon said, "We thank CA and its employees for continuing to support our efforts and helping us bring some comfort to those in need. We urge other corporations and individuals, like CA and its employees, to continue to support our recovery programs benefiting children and their families in Lebanon."

Speaking on the occasion, Toni Prince, the Beirut-based Regional Manager for CA for Levant, Egypt, and Libya said, "We are happy to contribute to the rebuilding efforts of Lebanon and our commitment to this country will remain rock solid. This was demonstrated during the war when our multi-lingual regional customer support center continued to operate 24/7."

CA has a long-standing corporate tradition in supporting charitable causes around the world and was ranked as the most generous corporate cash giver in 2005 by Business Week Magazine. Last year, CA employees in Pakistan and the Arab countries raised USD 37,900 for the Pakistan earthquake relief fund and more than USD 10,000 for the Tsunami relief efforts.
