Middle East businesses to benefit from improved global collaboration
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, August 28 - 2002 at 09:07
- PRESS RELEASE
Through improved collaboration, organizations in the Middle East will become more competitive and customer focused, as communication complexities are removed from doing global business, say regional experts.
"Middle East companies wanting to realize benefit from an ERP solution require complete automation of everyday processes, freeing up time to improve customer care, speed up production cycles, and work to shorter lead times," said Ziad Aqrabawi, Scala's regional managing director, commenting on the company's launch of its latest ERP solution, iScala.
"Regional users demand a solution that successfully integrates Internet technology and traditional ERP functionality on one scalable platform, while keeping total cost of ownership down," added Agrabawi.
Middle East Customer Commentary
Scala's Middle East customers are embracing the company's new collaborative ERP offering: "Scala provides us with a modern solution that fully supports the requirements of our business processes from the beginning to the end," said Pasi Koota, financial controller, KONE Middle East.
"Scala has a strong global presence and can provide local support in the region where we operate. And, together with its multi-lingual and multi-currency capabilities, Scala offers a cost-efficient solution that can be deployed anywhere in the world."
KONE will benefit from the total integration of business processes throughout their operations, being able to access information about their order cycle, from tender estimates through to invoicing, from one single system.
Executives with KONE believe that possessing readily available information will lead to improved stock and resource management, easier reporting, and faster decision making.
iScala ERP Solution
iScala comprises two products, the iScala Business Server and the iScala Enterprise Server. The iScala Business Server is an entry-level product for medium-size companies needing full ERP functionality to automate business processes across applications and customer or supplier systems.
The iScala Enterprise Server brings scalability, as well as business centralization for larger companies. In addition, iScala Developer is a development environment to allow internal and external IT staff to alter the basic iScala product in order to deliver company-specific functionality where required. The new architecture also means that iScala is ready for web services, and can be made available through any device.
Uniquely, iScala enables all core business processes to be linked, and made available across an entire company, or within a group of connected companies.
iScala integrates global data while acting as a traditional ERP solution - managing parts purchasing, maintaining inventories, tracking orders and planning product development.
As a collaborative ERP solution for suppliers of global enterprises, iScala provides key back-office functionality, including financial, client, service, supply, inventory, and manufacturing management information, all linked to a user-friendly interface.
Basil Daniels, Scala's regional sales and marketing manager, is emphatic about his company's commitment to the new collaborative business model: "Collaborative ERP solutions such as iScala mean employees are no-longer working in isolated pockets. Regional users can utilize the business tools they require for their individual markets, while working in their language of choice."
"Dealing with client requirements successfully, and keeping costs down, can mean the difference between profit and loss," added Daniels.
