Maritime and Mercantile International (MMI) has announced two executive positions to spearhead the company's Beverages division and retail operations respectively, auguring a reinforced commitment to the marketplace.

Clive Rogerson has been appointed to head the Beverages division, taking over from incumbent, Bob Driver. Prior to this, he has held senior positions in Prague Breweries Group, Czech Republic; Inchcape's Coca-Cola division in Moscow; Spinneys in Lebanon and Abu Dhabi, and other international organisations. Rogerson has a mathematics degree from London University and has diplomas from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, UK.

Simon Thornton has been appointed Retail Manager, a newly created post in the company, and he will be responsible for overseeing the group's multi-site retail operations. Thornton's work experience encompasses business planning and forecasting, merchandising and promotional strategy, gained over his 10-year career with UK-based First Quench, where he has worked since 1992.
