Qanat Al Qasba organizes digital art exhibition of car designing

The opening of the digital art exhibition will open to visitors on the first day, November 14 at 8pm.

The exhibition at QAQ is being held as part of the 8th International Automobile Show which will be held at Expo Sharjah from November 14 to November 18.

The International Automobile Show 2006 features the latest launches of leading car manufacturers from around the world, and has emerged as a widely popular event among the region's car lovers. This show is held every two years and the last edition attracted 74,354 visitors during the show's five-day run up, including decision-makers from the corporate world, transporters and owners of small businesses.

A French national and one of the aspiring young talents in the international car designing industry Sousi's modern and dramatic creations will be part of the much looked forward to show. With a strong background in car designing, including a PhD on Arts & Design from Sorbonne University, France, his customised cars oozing with individuality and panache makes him one of the most promising car designers in the modern car industry.

'The digital art exhibition to be held at Qanat Al Qasba will be one of the most exceptional and diverse ones. Wissem Sousi's electrifying designs, created clearly by a master, are certain to capture the imagination of the visitors, making it a memorable visit,' said Marwan Al Sarkal, CEO of Qanat Al Qasba Development Authority.

Having begun a career in designing at very young age, Sousi has also graduated from the Fine Arts School in France, one of the most prestigious institutions in the world, with a specialisation in Industrial and Automotive Design. However, Sousi's passion for designing cars was instilled at a much younger age when at eight, he began designing women's dresses and boys' trousers for his mother, a dressmaker. He would also spend long hours sketching out his own designs for cars, and with the progress of time, the passion for cars overtook his other interests to make a career out of it. And since then, for Sousi, there has been no looking back.

Sousi has worked with some of the most prestigious car manufacturing companies around the world including Peugeot Citroen in France; FAW, the first Chinese car company and Suzuki, China.
