During Gitex, one of the world's top three IT exhibitions i2 will disclose a surprise announcement to share with over 1,200 exhibitors and thousands of visitors.
President and CEO, Mr. Abdul Hameed Al Sunaid along with top management from across the region will be present at stand A6-15 in Hall 6 throughout the five day conference where they will unveil their latest customer touch point. 'We have very exciting news to announce during the conference and we believe our surprise announcement will differentiate i2 from any other mobile provider in the world' stated Sunaid. Within the last the company launched numerous customer touch points which include i2 magazine, i2 club, i2 prestige, i2 café, i2 retail outlets, and i2's website.
i2's stand will better acquaint visitors with the company's diverse product portfolio and its different roles as wholesaler, distributor and retailer. 'Gitex is the ideal platform to familiarize visitors with i2's operational breadth and diverse product portfolio' stated Jihad El Eit, Vice President of Marketing.
Shoppers can visit i2's retail arm at Gitex Shoppers, located within CompuMe and enjoy the latest in mobile technology including the Mio, a PDA phone with an integrated navigation system. i2 will also offer shoppers bundled packages and special promotions including 25,000 free skywards Miles, a disposable charger and headset with the purchase of the Nokia 6600.
Its healthy growth can also be ascribed to its aggressive expansion through Africa and a series of tactical acquisitions which include Cellempower, a company specializing in mobile value added services and Allied TC, a mobile provider in the United Kingdom which will help i2 expand its offerings.
This year i2 also strengthened its strategic relationship with Nokia, as the authorized distributor of Nokia products in the region, by winning 'best distributor for Nokia' in Northeast Africa. The two companies also signed a content aggregation agreement, to give all Nokia users easy access to localized downloadable content through i2 club, a content catalogue.
'i2 has accomplished a great deal in a relatively short time. However the common denominator in all our objectives, be it acquisitions, operational expansion, or our subsidiaries is that everything is customer focused. Every decision made was done with the customer being the beneficiary and we are confident that this will resonate throughout Gitex' concluded Sunaid.
In a gesture of appreciation to its customers and visitors, i2 has sponsored shuttle buses to transport visitors residing at any Jumeirah International Hotel to the exhibition throughout the five day conference.
