DM Public Health staff to be trained on food safety

Dubai Municipality will organize five-day training course on food safety this week.
Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zarouni, Acting Head of Human Resources Development Section in the Personnel Department said the course, to be held from 12-16 November, would be attended by a group of Public Health officials of the municipality.
He said the participants will be familiarized with the international food safety charters, food classifications according to international specifications, different classifications of hazardous food and specimen taking mechanism.
Al Zarouni said the second training course of the week called, "Excellence in customer service," will be held during 13-15 November. The course would be attended by a group of administrative support staff and secretaries from different departments of the municipality.
He said the course is aimed at enhancing the behavioural skills essential for the employees to deal with the customers in a more effective way and also to offer excellent services to them. It will enable them to undertake the transactions, especially regarding complaints and problems, more fluently.
Al Zarouni said the training course would provide the participants with an idea on the requirements for an excellent customer service and the challenges faced in this area: human, individual, organizational, and system. It will also brief the participants on the effective methods of dealing with the complaints and problems of the customers.
He said a third course of the week called "Six Thinking Hats," to be organized on Sunday, would be attended by a group of fresh graduates in the Municipality.
