DIFC, UK government talks

The Dubai International Financial Centre is to hold talks with the UK's Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Ed Balls, in a bid to strengthen business links. A number of major British companies now have offices in the DIFC including Barclays, Lloyds TSB, HSBC, Prudential and Standard Chartered. Assem O. Kabesh, the Chief Business Development Officer said that investment in the DIFC from the UK had continued to increase.
