DP World, $2.9bn London deal

Dubai World Chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem has confirmed plans to invest $2.9bn in a major infrastructure development project in the UK. The London Gateway project, to be executed by DP World, will include a port capable of handling the largest deep-sea container ships, as well as the UK's largest business park. The site of the project will be the former Shell Haven oil refinery in Essex.
