ViewSonic unveils ViewDock, the world's first 'Made for iPod' desktop display, at GITEX 2006

Visitors to GITEX will be the first in the region to see, and perhaps win, the newly launched ViewDock, the world's first "Made for iPod" desktop display. The ViewDock series incorporates an iPod docking station, with stereo speakers and a subwoofer in an ultra-stylish silver and high gloss black widescreen display, enabling iPod users to play their video and audio files on a big screen with ViewSonic's award winning LCD technology. The ViewDock also includes four USB 2.0 ports, an 8-in-1 card reader and a microphone, so that it can be used for a range of different media and devices, to match the connected digital lifestyle.

ViewSonic has seen an impressive increase in business this year, with 17 times faster growth in HY06 compared to HY05, making ViewSonic the second-fastest growing monitor company in the region.

ViewSonic's stand this year will be themed around 'FAST & WIDE', referring to the 'Fast' LCD panel response time that gives ViewSonic displays superior image quality, particularly for intensive multimedia applications such as video and gaming, and 'Wide' featuring ViewSonic's latest wide format desktop displays together with line-up of HD ready LCD TVs ranging from 20" to 42" displays, providing an exceptional price-performance combination for both home and commercial use.

This year for the first time ever, visitors to the ViewSonic stand will be able to see the full line up of award-winning LCD TVs, which includes the world's first 20" wide HD Ready product, the N2060w and the complete range of the latest ViewSonic DLP and LCD Projectors. Other key products that ViewSonic will be highlighting from its LCD monitor line-up include the newly launched and redesigned VG series, which pushes the boundaries in terms of style, design and performance for the ergonomically conscious business and corporate users in the Middle East region.
