Iranian NOC first to arrive at the Athletes Village

The Islamic Republic of Iran became the first of 45 participating National Olympic Committees (NOCs) to take up residence at the 15th Asian Games Athletes' Village following the arrival of the Chef de Mission and two senior team officials.
As per usual Games practice, the Iranian officials will ensure all preparations are appropriately made in the form of accommodation, transportation, health, catering, training and other services for their contingent who will arriving soon.
The Thai and Bahraini NOCs are expected to arrive at the Village tonight (November 11), while the two-member delegation from Kazakhstan NOC is scheduled to arrive on Sunday 12 November.
Host country Qatar takes up residence on 13 November. The four-man team is led by Ahmad Al Mawlawi, Chef de Mission, Ghanem Jaber Al Kubaissi (deputy Chief de Mission), Tarek Charaf (technical manager) and Mohamed Al Mutassem (Qatar team official).
Each athlete or team official apartment consists of five bedrooms and houses a maximum of 13 athletes. There are four bathrooms in each apartment. All apartments have access to a common living room with television, telephone and refrigerator.
There are a total of 32 residential buildings with 811 apartments for athletes. Chefs de Mission officials will be accommodated in 45 apartments while there will be 45 NOC Offices.
