The mall will transform itself as a shopping destination for seasonal gifts and host a variety of programs - all of which are designed to appeal to children and adults, shoppers and visitors.
During The Town Centre festive season, retailers at the mall will highlight products and services that will serve as perfect presents and ideal gifts for Christmas.
'Town Centre is a small but intimate mall that allows many hours of comfortable and uninterrupted shopping in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. During our special season, running up to Christmas, this advantage will be greatly highlighted as our tenants come together to offer ideal gift ideas,' explained Raida Khoury, PR & Corporate Communications Manager, Town Centre Jumeirah and Mercato.
Among others, shoppers can look forward to visiting Paris Gallery for a choice of premium perfumes, skincare and cosmetics, Bateel for its exclusive dates and date products, the new Emirates Travel Hub for airlines tickets and holiday vouchers and Bayti for handsome Christmas displays & decorations. Papermoon, a kiosk located at Town Centre will offer personalised gift wrapping services, together with a choice of wrapping paper, and gift boxes. And, the presence of an Empost office in the mall will ensure that your greetings and gifts can be mailed around the world
Young children and their mothers are the key focus of our Christmas countdown, as listed the exciting events and competitions that will be held in the mall, centred around very young visitors.
Town Centre has organised a unique children's competition in conjunction with Books Plus, in the guise of Christmas Bookmarks, where little ones will be encouraged to design and create their own Christmas-themed bookmarks. All bookmarks created by the young artists will be exhibited at the mall, and one winner will be awarded Books Plus' gift vouchers lasting for a year. Books Plus will also sponsor a Storytelling Session for Children.
Café Ceramique will host free Christmas workshops during the weekends, including ginger cookie making on Sat 25 Nov, lantern & ornament making on Sat 2 Dec, colourful sand designs on Sat 9 Dec and Decorating Christmas stockings on Thurs 14 Dec. These are limited to 15 children per workshop. They are also running the 'create a card for santa' competition where the winning child's design wins them a years' supply of Café Ceramique vouchers. All activities, including face painting will take place in the Town Centre Food Court every Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 5 and 7pm.
Space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis, so register for the children's competitions & workshops on 04 -3440111.
Showbiz will run a Giving Tree charity drive in association with All As One orphanage (AAO). Visitors of the mall will be invited to donate money towards sponsoring a child from AAO and additionally, place a star on the christamas tree, with the child's name and a message. The aim is to cover the tree with stars, by the end of the season, and send the money with all the stars to the One Orphanage in Sierra Leonne.
While the children are busy engaged in the activities designed for them, their mothers will not be neglected. One of Town Centre biggest Christmas competitions is entitled Pamper Yourself for a Year. The ladies-only competition is sponsored by Nail Station and SOS Beauty Salon and one lucky winner stands to win herself a manicure, pedicure, hair wash and blow dry every month, for a whole year.
The mall will also host regular Visits by Santa Clause every Friday and Saturday between 5ppm to 7pm.
Town Centre will come alive with the festive colours of Christmas, as green, burgundy and gold accessories will adorn the mall during the season. The celebrations will also mark the mall as one of the merriest Christmas venues in town. Anyone of any age group visiting Town Centre in November and December can look forward to a truly warm and wonderful Christmas.
