Interstandards exhibits at GITEX 06 under DIC umbrella

Interstandards - the Arab Internet Standards Organization - announced today that it will be participating in GITEX 2006 within the Dubai Internet City pavilion.

This announcement comes as the organization gears up for launching the first draft of Internet Quality Standards aiming at creating a benchmark for quality across leading regional websites.

Duri Al Ajrami, Managing Director of Interstandards explained, "We are happy to be part of the DIC pavilion in this year's GITEX. The past year had been dedicated for preparing the first drafts of the standards and our participation marks our official move into the marketing phase."

"Dubai Internet City - represented by their Partner Relations Department - played a big role in our participation this year, their continuous support to Interstandards is paving a clear road to future success," Al Ajrami added.


Malek Al Malek, Director of Partner Relations, Dubai Internet City said, "We are very happy to welcome Interstandards within our DIC Pavilion at GITEX this year. We believe this will be a good opportunity to start marketing these standards into regional and international markets."

Interstandards was launched in November 2005 with the aim of creating quality standards for Arab commercial websites. Developed in association with the British Standards Institution (BSI), the quality programme is leveraged as a joint initiative with Dubai Internet City and eHosting DataFort. The first draft for the standards is expected to be published later this year.
