The Dow Chemical Company donates USD 50,000 to Red Crescent Society for the relief effort in Lebanon

The Dow Chemical Company, a global leader in science and technology, has contributed US$50,000 towards the relief work of the Red Crescent Society in Lebanon.
Commenting on the donation, Dow Regional President for India, the Middle East and Africa (IMEA), Earl Shipp said; "Our commitment to supporting the communities where we are present is deeply embedded in Dow's corporate culture. The Red Crescent Society is a very active organisation and provides assistance to those in need, regardless of nationality, religious belief or political persuasion."
For over three decades, The Dow Chemical Company has pursued a strategy of steady growth in the Middle East. Since opening its first commercial office in Cairo in the early 1970s it has established a solid presence in the region and currently has manufacturing plants or state-of-the-art petrochemical joint ventures in Kuwait, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.
