Turkish investment increased by 30% at RAK FTZ

The Turkish investment in Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone increased by 30 per cent in the past two years, said a top official.
Sheikh Faisal bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of (RAK FTZ) received at the zone's premises yesterday a Turkish media delegation presided by Haron Kocal, the Commercial Attache at the Turkish Consulate General to the UAE.
Welcoming the Turkish media representatives, Sheikh Faisal expressed hope that their visit to Ras Al Khaimah would further boost bilateral relations between the emirate and Turkey. Sheikh Faisal said the visit of the Turkish media delegation will pave the way for increased cooperation between Turkish media and the RAK FTZ which has actively taken part in most of the commercial fairs and exhibitions held in several Turkish cities, last of which was the UAE Commercial Fair in Turkey held last September.
Sheikh Faisal said the emirate's government is successfully implementing a pro- investment strategy which is firmly rooted in the principles of free trade and in promoting entrepreneurship. He added that Ras Al Khaimah offers tremendous opportunities for business partnerships in diverse sectors like industry and tourism.
Maryam Al Shehhi, the Assistant Director of the RAK FTZ highlighted the importance of the field visits of the media representatives to the zone to enable them see personally the state of the art services and facilities the zone offers to its registered clients. She stressed that the zone's services and facilities have played a central role in attracting major companies from around the world.
The Turkish media representatives visited the Industrial Park and the Technological Park of the RAK FTZ and later visited the Hilton Beach Resort. Members of the delegation said the development witnessed in Ras Al Khaimah will put the emirate on the tourist map of the region. They added that the strategic location of Ras Al Khaimah will enable it to serve as a hub for logistics and industrial sectors.
