'Touqan' inaugurates Gargour's new Training Center, Maintenance, and Passenger Cars Delivery Centers

His Excellency Dr. Khalid Touqan Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research inaugurated the Training Center, Delivery Center, and CJD Workshop that are located in T. Gargour and Fils. Co. headquarters in Abu Alanda, Amman.

This was performed during a ceremony attended by a number of key personalities, media people, company's VIP clients, in addition to representatives from DaimlerChrysler in Germany. Thereafter, Dr. Touqan toured the new amenities accompanied by attendees of the event.

Mr. Nadim Gargour, Managing Director of T. Gargour and Fils Co. delivered a speech starting with a welcoming note addressed to the Minister and all attendees.

He said, "The inauguration of our new centers comes as part of the expansion plan adopted by T. Gargour and Fils Co. locally and regionally, seeking to facilitate the client service procedures, fulfill their different requirements, in addition to providing them with high quality facilities developed according to the best international standards and methodologies. We are looking forward to have Jordan as a hub for training in the Middle East utilizing the local expertise and skills."

The Gargour state-of-the-art Training Center is the first of its kind in the region. It is equipped according to the latest international standards of DaimlerChrysler and is divided into two main sections, one for passenger cars and the other for commercial vehicles. Each of those sections has two spaces, one for theory training and the other for practical training. All training areas are equipped with the latest tools and equipment, and are directly connected with the Global training of DaimlerChrysler in Germany through the AKUBIS system where participants can attend live transmitted training courses.

Trainers at this center are qualified by DaimlerChrysler in the different technical fields of commercial vehicles and passenger cars. Furthermore, a training program is prepared each year to fulfill the yearly market demands, and is customized and adapted to the different needs and requirements of customers.

Moreover, the company established a Delivery Center which is also considered to be the first of its kind in the region in terms of services; all passenger cars undergo all cleaning and polishing procedures, mechanical and electrical check before the official delivery to the client, using the best machines and equipment.

Within the opening ceremony, T. Gargour and Fils Co. also announced the soft opening of a workshop specialized for providing maintenance service and spare parts of Chrysler- Jeep- Dodge, which the company has recently obtained the right to deal with and provide maintenance services, besides its recognition as the sole and exclusive Mercedes Benz dealer in Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine.

The company is currently concluding the final stages of construction of this workshop that includes 10 work bays, modern reception with internet facilities for clients, in addition to availability of spare parts for all Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge models.

The Minister also viewed the expansion taking place in the Commercial Vehicles workshop to include 36 working bays, a separate modern reception area for commercial vehicles clients, in addition to operating it with the most advanced tools and equipments.
