The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management receives top award for 'Best Career Development Programme'

The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, part of Jumeirah, the Dubai based luxury hospitality group, took first place in the category of 'Best Career Development Programme' at last week's annual Worldwide Hospitality Awards in Paris, France.

The Worldwide Hospitality Awards, presented annually by the MKG Group, associated with HTR magazine, is an opportunity for the world's leading hotel groups to showcase their abilities to operate and innovate in a more than ever competitive industry. Over the past years, the awards have become recognised as one of the leading international professional industry events showcasing the tremendous value and progress made in the hospitality industry worldwide.

The awards feature twelve different categories and The Emirates Academy was delighted to be honoured with the award for 'Best Career Development Programme', which carefully looks at the originality of the institution's programmes towards younger employees to build company loyalty and to make them progress within the company.

Ron Hilvert, Managing Director of The Emirates Academy, who was in Paris to receive the award, said: "We are extremely proud to be recognised as a leader in our field in providing world class development programmes to the tourism and hospitality industry. This award truly reflects our commitment to quality in all that we do at Jumeirah and the confidence the Group had to establish a world class hospitality and tourism college in one of the world's fastest growing tourism destinations".
