Java SE 6 allows users to develop and deploy Java applications on their desktops servers, and on today's demanding embedded and real-time environments. Java SE 6 increases developer productivity and offers enhanced management and serviceability by offering monitoring and management capabilities out of the box to help users diagnose many common Java SE problems.
"At GITEX, Sun will highlight GITEX attendees the multiple benefits of these solutions, such as ease of use, improved user experience, lower costs and increased productivity. In addition to launch of Java SE 6, we will also be demonstrating to our high-end customers how our latest SPARC based Solaris machines drive business capability"
said Graham Porter, marketing manager, MENA, Sun Microsystems.
Gitex delegates will also have an opportunity to view Sun's successful Solaris Operating System, which in one year exceeded 5 million registered license shipments, more than its competitors have shipped collectively in the past 18 months - customers can take advantage of a thriving ecosystem backed by Sun's legendary research and development heritage.
With the recent expansion of the Sun Fire server and Sun Ultra workstation ranges, Sun Microsystems has got an industry-leading portfolio which will be available for discussion and demonstration at the show. Sun will also showcase its new range of SunRay thin client offerings.
Also on display will be Sun's 4500 product combining an AMD processor and 48 SATA disk drives in a 4U rack tray, offering 24 Terabytes at an amazing price point!
"Globally, Sun is focusing on the Participation Age, talking to customers and partners about how they can work together for the next wave of technology enhancement and discovery. The event will be a chance for partners to get in depth looks at some of the new technology on the market," added Porter.
In keeping with the theme of community, the Sun stand will host a number of partners integral to the business of the company around the region, including key players such as AMD, McData/Brocade, SunGard, Iffcotech, HDS and Tech Access. The stand will reflect the full gamut of Sun Microsystems' expertise in the Middle East. The partners will also have an exclusive sneak preview of the Public Access Program (PAP) which will add a host of benefits to their current offerings.
