A judging panel comprising of several industry experts decided winners in the 15 award categories from a shortlist of 3. In total the judging team received over 1000 nominations between August - November 2006.
One of the judges Kerry Van Der Zyl, Director of Kerry Roberts Associates commented: "I thought the calibre of applicants were of a very high standard and some of the comments their colleagues made about them were very obviously heart felt, it is always a shame when judging that you can only choose one winner, I believe that everyone that was nominated for the Hotelier Awards should feel like a winner!"
The annual awards ceremony, now in its 3rd year will be held at the Park Hyatt Dubai on Sunday 12th November 2006, and principal sponsor BOSE provided all the sound management for this prestigious event.
