Dubai Municipality set to showcase several new services and IT projects at GITEX 2006

Dubai Municipality has announced its participation in GITEX Dubai 2006 under the Dubai eGovernment umbrella.

The Municipality is set to demonstrate a host of new services and Total Solutions during the exhibition to promote the use of e-services among Dubai's residents.

At GITEX 2006, Dubai Municipality will be focusing on its services offered by the Information Technology Department and the Geographic Information Systems Center. The e-Clinic system, Building Permit Certification System, Food Import & Re-Export System, Electronic Correspondence and Follow up System, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System, Engineering Projects Information Management System, DM Property & Lease Management System, Smart Forms, Oyoon, Computer Refurbishment Center, PC remote support, Server Virtualization, Network Operation Center and Tawasul or DM anywhere are some of the services of the IT Department that will be highlighted at GITEX, along with the E-Map and the DUGIS service offered by the Geographic Information Systems Center.

said Hussain Lootah, Acting Director of Dubai Municipality. "The government's continued stress on electronic governance has seen a vigorous implementation of eServices, and Dubai Municipality has led the way in this regard. Individuals and corporates in Dubai are increasingly realising the benefits of using electronic services for various requirements, which is a sign of the emirate's rapid advancement."
