Saadi will be based in Dubai and will be in charge of developing the now established annual Middle East & Africa (MEA) Digital Consumer Channel and Digital Business Channel events in the region. Saadi brings extensive product knowledge to his new job, coupled with creative ideas and a solid history of sales success.

Farouk Hemraj, CEO for Distree Events said, "We are very excited to have Adnan on board. His extensive experience in the IT industry in the Middle East will be a great asset towards the ongoing evolution of the format of our events to ensure that we continue to bring value not just to the vendors that participate but also to our invited guests (the channel) from around the region."

Armed with a Business Administration qualification, Saadi started his career as Executive Manager in 1996 with Al Soundos Computers in UAE, and went on to accumulate over 10 years' experience in the IT industry, gaining insight into the workings of corporate IT from his job in the IT department of INMA to experience in the retail and distribution channel while working with HICOM Computers, Tech Data and Pinnacle Computers. Saadi's last position before joining DISTREE EVENTS was with ITP, publishers of regional IT titles, as their Channel Manager, developing new markets and acting as the Middle East & Saudi Channel Consultant for vendors and distributors.

"As a committed 'channel' man, I am really pleased to join the Distree team because I strongly believe in the methodology behind their events," said Saadi. "I think that we (DISTREE EVENTS) really add value to the growth of the IT industry in this region. In my new role, I will not only work to expand the breadth of our existing events - DBC MEA and DCC MEA - but will also be exploring potential new channel events for this region."

The special DISTREE EVENTS formula used in all its existing channel events combines a high-level, full service event with the comfort of a world-class venue. Before the start of these events, distributors, channel partners and vendors use a special on-line conference software designed by DISTREE to pre-book one-on-one appointments and boardroom meetings — a system that helps participants accomplish a full sales cycle in three days.

Saadi will start work with DISTREE EVENTS from November 15th, 2006.
