Itronix rugged mobile solutions debut at Gitex 2006
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, November 15 - 2006 at 13:20
- PRESS RELEASE
SIGMA Enterprises LLC today launched the Itronix, a General Dynamics Company, rugged mobile computing range in the UAE.
Now a General Dynamics company, ITRONIX and SIGMA are positioned to serve both government and industry customers with enhanced focus in the Gulf.
SIGMA Enterprises will be displaying the whole Itronix Product range which includes Rugged Laptops, Tablet PCs and Handhelds at Gitex 2006, with special emphasis on the latest product to come out of the Itronix Stable - The GoBook XR-1. Being able to withstand the elements in the UAE is a pre requisite for surviving here - the heat and the dust being prime examples. That is why the New Itronix GoBook XR-1 Rugged Notebook from Itronix feels right at home.
No stranger to being exposed to searing temperatures, dropped from height and buried in the desert, the GoBook XR-1 is a rugged notebook not to be messed with. It is he lightest, yet toughest rugged notebook on the market, allowing you to work anywhere!
So what is "ruggedized," anyway? The 6.8-pound XR-1 meets military standards for drop/shock and vibration, and is also watertight and dustproof. Its keyboard can withstand liquids and abrasive dust and dirt particles, too. It can even be submerged, scrubbed and bleached after it's been exposed to toxic substances. That's tough! It's not messing around in the power department, either, with an Intel Core Duo 1.83GHz processor and 80MB 5400RPM SATA drive along with optional fully-integrated GPS.
"The GoBook XR-1 is the best fully rugged product from Itronix to date, the lightest and smallest rugged notebook available." Adam Wilding-Webb, Division Manager SIGMA Enterprises. "SIGMA Enterprises is committed to developing the product range in the region by offering an excellent product coupled with excellent customer support."
As far as rugged notebook computers go, the General Dynamics GoBook XR-1 is as good as it gets. It is more durable, more powerful, and more ergonomic than any other rugged notebook in the market.
