The stand will be located at Z-C10 in Zabeel Hall.

Alya Al Mutawa, Senior Corporate Communications Manager, Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority said: 'Our participation in GITEX 2006 will bring Dubai Silicon Oasis in direct contact with leading innovators in the technology sector. At the same time, it will expose IT and telecom companies, and high tech industries operating in the region to the DSOA value proposition of creating an integrated high technology community. We expect to formalize agreements with key business partners during the five-day event.'

Dubai Silicon Oasis' presence at GITEX is expected to generate considerable interest from local and foreign investors keen to take advantage of DSOA's strategy to become the number one high-tech hub in the Middle East, providing single window service and free zone incentives.

DSOA is a wholly-owned entity of the government of Dubai, operating as a free zone technology park for semiconductors, microelectronics and other electronic-based companies looking to set up their regional headquarters and R&D divisions.

In the past year, Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority has signed strategic agreements with several multinationals including Mind Speed Corporation and Lisec, the world's largest manufacturer of high-tech insulating glass and machines for photovoltaic, to open a design and manufacturing centre for network connectivity solutions.

Among the world's top three IT exhibitions, GITEX is one of the most important gateways to the Middle East market with over 1,200 exhibitors representing 2,274 companies from over 61 countries.
