Etisalat introduces time-based Al Shamil package

Etisalat today announced a new Al Shamil broadband package for home users, allowing customers to experience the advantages of high speed Broadband Internet.
With the time-based Al Shamil 256K package, customers will have access to an online facility to monitor their usage levels. Customers will also receive e-mail alerts on reaching 80 %,, 90 % and 100 % of their consumption limit.
Abdulla Hashim, Assistant General Manager, Marketing, Etisalat, said the new package was crafted in response to customer demand.
"Based on our analysis, we do believe there is a significant segment of the UAE Internet customer base who are underserved in terms of an attractive entry-level pricing structure that takes into account their usage characteristics," Hashim said. "We are delighted to unveil this new Al Shamil package especially for them, and confident that it will be well received and further Etisalat's goal of delivering the high-speed broadband advantage to as many people as possible."
The new Al Shamil service includes the standard value added free features including enhanced storage , Norton Anti Virus, Norton Personal Firewall , email Anti Virus and Anti Spam Plus to provide users with a more secure and protected online environment.
The package is also flexible enough to allow customers to use the service beyond the monthly limit at an extra charge per hour. Unused hours, however, will not be carried forward to the following month.
