Jaguar XK wins 'Car of the Year' and 'Sporting Car of the Year' award

The XK Coupe emerged as a clear overall champion when the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers awarded the super charged vehicle with the 'Car of the Year' and 'Sporting Car of the Year' award.

The 2007 Jaguar XK also received the 'Recommended 2007 Award' by Consumer Guide® Automotive in the premium sporty/performance car category. This yearly award is presented to cars that outshine in various categories that include the vehicle's price, unique features and performance.

The ever-growing popularity of the XK is not only due to the assertive good looks, but also that the 4.2 liter V8 sports car is undoubtedly the most technologically-advanced Jaguar ever built. Available for now as either a Coupe or Convertible, Mohammed Jalal & Sons are already taking orders for the Super-charged version that will join the range in January.

The XK has already picked up several notable awards since its launch this year including 'Car of the Year', 'Best Coupe' awards at the Auto Express New Car Honours 2006 and the 'Most exciting car to be launched in 2006' by What Car? Magazine.

Other awards it received were the 'Prince Michael Award for Safety' and 'World Traffic Safety Symposium's Traffic Safety Achievement Award' in recognition of exceptional safety features on the car.
