Twice the space and thrice the winnings at Jacky's at GITEX Shopper '06

On purchases shoppers at Jacky's will be eligible for entry into a draw for BenQ TVs - which will be given away every hour for the duration of the event. In addition, continuing its 1001 theme from GITEX 2005, Jacky's will give shoppers spending a scratch and win coupon for the chance to win a BenQ digital camera, one of 1001 being given away. Those who don't win a digital camera will receive a discount voucher against future purchases at any Jacky's retail outlet. Customers buying Nokia products at Jacky's have a chance to win 1001 Nokia accessories.

Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky's Electronics, commenting on Jacky's increased presence at the event, said that the show was a major contributor to the company's annual sales increase and the company looked forward to the 2006 event for both the boost in sales and a first hand understanding of emerging customer trends.

"GITEX Shopper is an important event for IT retailers as consumer trends that are revealed through such an event are carried forward into the planning for the coming year. This year, keeping in mind emerging consumer requirements, we intend to grow certain focus categories, by having dedicated stands for each product category, such as LCD and plasma TVs, digital still and video cameras. We also hope to build on our strong relationships with our partners to ensure we effectively communicate the needs of our customers," he said.

He added that new products being launched by Jacky's partners at GITEX Shopper '06, would also be available at the Jacky's stand. These include products from HP, Acer, Nokia, Dell, Samsung, Toshiba, Sony, i-Mate, Canon, BenQ, Olivetti and LG. The Jacky's stand will also include products by major vendors such as Fuji, Nikon, Kodak, Apple, Creative, Targus, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Eten, 02, Olympus, Belkin, Netgear, Trust, Sharp, Panasonic, NEC, Lenovo, Fujitsu-Siemens, JVC, Lexmark, Logitech and Microsoft.

This year, as an added benefit, Jacky's has worked out an easy payment scheme for customers in association with ADCB, where ADCB will provide instant financing to any customer. Having on board a dedicated team at GITEX Shopper to explain the working of their financing scheme.

Jacky's, who has participated in GITEX Shopper for the past five years, has achieved major sales gains through the annual event. Over the years the company has had a first-hand view of changing buying patterns at the event; while in its first year IT sales only generated five per cent of its retail sales, today its IT sales account for 45 per cent of its annual retail sales.
