- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, November 16 - 2006 at 09:32
- PRESS RELEASE
Cyberoam, the provider of Identity-based Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances, announced the launch of Cyberoam CR 25i UTM Appliance for the Middle East and African markets at GITEX 2006. Cyberoam 25i will serve the Small Office-Home Office (SOHO) market.
"With an expanding base of channel partners in Middle-East and Africa and proven expertise in providing comprehensive Identity-based Internet security, Cyberoam's CR 25i is an answer to the security needs of the SOHO users in the region," says Harish Chib, VP-Marketing, Cyberoam, Elitecore Technologies Limited. "Hence we are launching Cyberoam CR 25i at GITEX Dubai."
Middle-East and African markets have more than 51 million Internet users and the region has witnessed an Internet usage growth rate of over 500 %. With this tremendous growth rate, especially with an increasing number of SOHO users, Cyberoam is keen to expand its offering for complete protection against the increasing number and range on Internet threats.
"SOHO users face the complete range of Internet threats like spyware, phishing, pharming, viruses, worms, and more, but do not have the security infrastructure or IT human resource to defend themselves against these threats," says Chib. "Cyberoam offers a much needed solution to them, providing complete security that is highly cost-effective. It is a ready-to-deploy appliance that requires no technical expertise in its management."
Cyberoam offers comprehensive threat protection with Firewall-VPN, Anti-virus, Anti-spam, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Content Filtering - in addition to enhanced productivity through Bandwidth Management and Multiple Link Management over a single platform. Cyberoam appliances - CR 50i, CR 100i, CR 250i, CR 500i, CR1000i and CR 1500i, suit the requirements of small to large enterprises from 50 to 1500 users. Addition of CR 25i complements the existing range and will suit the requirement of 5 to 30 users.
Cyberoam attaches the individual user identity, taking enterprises a step ahead of conventional solutions that bind security to immobile IP Addresses. Cyberoam's identity based features offers full business flexibility while ensuring complete security in any environment, including DHCP and Wi-Fi, by identifying individual users within the network, whether they are victims or attackers.
Cyberoam Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances offer integrated Internet security to enterprises globally, including corporations, educational institutions and government organizations. With offices in USA and India, Elitecore has a vast channel partner network that helps Cyberoam penetration in USA, Asia, Middle-East and Africa.
